Counting down…

In about nine hours, I’ll be rudely awakened by my electric rooster, telling me it’s time to rise and – um, well, rise. It’ll be too early to shine; the sun won’t even be up for another couple of hours. By that time I’ll be well east of Tucson on I-10 and heading for Denver.

I managed to get all the required preliminaries done today, particularly the laundry and loading the Honda on its trailer. I got the master bath almost all cleaned, but decided not to tackle the shower stall until I get home. The fridge-freezer is chilled and about 2/3 full of stuff; I still need to get the fruits and veggies ready. I picked all the grapes I could handle. I gassed up the truck and got some cash (including two rolls of quarters) from the bank.

I still have to load the truck. As soon as I’m done with this entry, that’s the next item on my list – at least, to get all the garage stuff loaded. The cooler can go, too, because it’ll plug into the power port. Then I have to decide on what, and how many, clothes to take.

All in all, I still have a couple of hours of work before I get in bed tonight. I promise to be safe, to watch out for the idiots, and to post here every now and then. It probably won’t be every day (in particular, don’t expect a post tomorrow night after 14 hours of driving), but it’ll be regular enough to bore you. šŸ˜‰
